Born and raised on the south coast of Natal, South Africa, I trained as a graphic designer over 20 years ago. I have lived and worked in the UK since graduating. I have always had a yearning to paint but never the time owing to a busy career and motherhood. 

3 years ago I joined an oil painting course in Peterborough and the passion for painting has been rekindled. I have recently been accepted by the Welland Art Society as an exhibiting member.

Working mainly in oils and acrylics, the different properties of these mediums are a joy to use for different subjects. I often use a limited palette in oils to bring harmony to the painting together with strong compositional structure.

My style is very varied and can range from realism to impressionism to abstract. I love to play with light and colour and how our senses are stimulated by these experiences.
